They have given over two thousand concerts both in India and internationally, and have received countless prestigious awards for their musical skills.  We are happy to see them perform for us in Montreal, after a long gap of ten years!

    Krishna: A Divine Experience

by Samradhya featuring dancing-duo Shijith Nambiar and Parvathy Menon

    Date (time):  May 4, 2013 (19:00)

Venue: Auditorium de Collège Ahuntsic, 9155 rue Saint-Hubert

Stories from the life of Krishna, one of the most loved incarnations of the Hindu pantheon, have inspired dancers, musicians, and writers for centuries.  Choreographed by the celebrated dancing couple from Kerala, Shijith and Parvathi, the production weaves together a tapestry of Indian classical music, dance, and theatrical performance and takes viewers on a breath-taking journey to Gokulam, Vrindavan, and Mathura- the divine realms of Lord Krishna.  Here, all beings live in the light of Krishna, the Ultimate Object of Knowledge and the Supreme Goal of Life. The dancers offer artistic interpretations of important narratives from the life of Krishna, and perform to traditional music compositions, some of which are at least a thousand years old.

“Krishna” is an experience of the transcendent, offered by the celebrated dancer-choreographer couple Shijith Nambiar and Parvathy Menon.  They have put together this production with the purpose of sharing their experiences of the Divine with rasikas.
